ABOUT US

Our Philosophy

We believe that behavior is complex and often influenced by multiple factors. Each child we support is unique, and their journey is shaped by their individual needs and experiences. Our approach is centered on providing compassionate, trauma-informed, assent-based care grounded in empathy and understanding. As such, our essential core values around service delivery include:

Understanding the Complexity of Behavior and the need for Cultural Responsiveness

We recognize that behavior is often shaped by a combination of environmental, social, cultural, and biological factors. Embracing this complexity, we approach each individual with cultural humility, conducting thoughtful assessments and tailoring interventions that are both flexible and responsive to the unique cultural contexts and lived experiences of those we serve.

Compassionate, Trauma-Informed, and Assent-based Care

Each client presents with a range of unique needs, which we meet with compassion, empathy, and respect. Our care is grounded in trauma-informed principles, ensuring sensitivity to each child's history and experiences. We are also committed to assent-based therapy, actively seeking and honoring the child’s willingness to participate in their therapeutic journey, promoting autonomy, trust, and collaboration throughout the process.

Promoting Individuality

We celebrate and encourage the individuality of each child. By focusing on their unique interests, strengths, and preferences, we work to create personalized plans that support their passions and goals, ensuring they are seen and heard as individuals.

Respecting Autonomy and Teaching Self-Assertiveness

We respect the autonomy of every child and are dedicated to teaching them the skills they need to assert themselves and make choices in their lives. We believe in empowering children to express their preferences and advocate for their needs in a safe and supportive environment.

Supporting Families Throughout the Journey

We recognize that families are integral to the success of any program. We prioritize the well-being of families and are committed to supporting them throughout the entire ABA journey, ensuring they are equipped with the tools, resources, and guidance they need to thrive alongside their child.

Collaboration with Other Service Providers

We value and actively seek collaboration with other professionals and service providers. We understand that a holistic, team-based approach is essential for the comprehensive support of each child, and we are committed to working together with others in the community to achieve the best outcomes.

Conclusion

Our philosophy is rooted in empathy, respect, and a commitment to quality care. We believe in supporting each child’s unique journey toward independence and improved well-being, while empowering families and fostering collaboration in the broader care community.
